Fishing Packages

Economy Road Plan beginning May 15th – Gabbro Lake

The “Economy Road” package runs from Friday to Friday beginning May 15th. Fish the many waters surrounding the Lodge by boat. Transportation to the Lodge is by the angler’s personal vehicle. The drive is a 3-1/2 hour road trip through the Labrador wilderness. The lodge is accessible by vehicle. Package can accommodate up to 16 anglers.

Economy Boat Plan beginning June 18th – Shaw Lake

The “Economy Boat” package runs from Friday to Friday beginning June 18th. Anglers can fish the many waters surrounding the lodge. Transportation to The Northern Lights Lodge includes a 3-4 hour road trip through the Labrador wilderness followed by 1 1/2 hour boat ride across the Smallwood Reservoir and through the Ashuanipi River system. This package can accommodate a maximum of 12 anglers.

American Plan beginning June 18th – Shaw Lake

This “Fishing around the lodge” package runs from Friday to Friday beginning June 18th. Fish the many waters surrounding the lodge. Refer to the Travel Info menu option “Labrador map” for reference of the waters surrounding The Northern Lights Lodge. This package includes a chartered floatplane service from Labrador City to The Northern Lights Lodge on Shaw Lake.

River Plan beginning July 9th – Shaw Lake or Gabbro Lake

The “Fly-out to Rivers” package runs from Friday to Friday beginning July 9th. This package includes 2 fly-outs to surrounding lakes, rivers and streams for Brook Trout. Fly-outs are scheduled for the best weather conditions during the week, leaving the remainder of the week to fish the large Ashuanipi River System. Transportation to Lodge via floatplane.

Supreme Plan beginning July 30th – Shaw Lake or Gabbro Lake

The “Fly-out to the Labrador Coast” package runs from Friday to Friday, beginning July 30th. This package includes a 1-day fly-out to the Coast of Labrador for Arctic Char and 1 fly-out to surrounding lakes, rivers and streams for Brook Trout. Minimum of 2 anglers required. Transportation to The Northern Lights Lodge via floatplane.
